The current state of research also includes the results of research carried out by industrial enterprises. These results are frequently unpublished, however, so they are not freely accessible. This means it is often impossible for investigators to incorporate such results when designing their research, especially when working at the interface with industrial research. Relevant, available results produced by companies should nonetheless be taken account of when designing a research project.
